Glade is a special clay dragon made by Liz for one of Lucy's friends, Melanie Cartwright. She can read moods and care for plants. She is noted to have ivy around her neck that changes colour depending on moods.
Glade is the third dragon attacked by the semi-darklings, and on this occasion she is captured. Showing remarkable strength, she refused to shed her fire tear, instead directing her auma to weaken the semi-darkling. Her ivy is torn off her and she is nearly killed at the end of the book.
Glade will be featured in the fourth The Dragons of Wayward Crescent Series, and, according to Chris D'Lacey, will be released this October in the UK.
